It is my opinion that this is a total scam company. Sure, they rent cars at a reasonable price but they also scam folks on "scrapes". I found at least two situations similar to mine in the reviews below.

IF I COULD give them no Stars I would

I returned my car at 6am on a Sunday. Their staff arrived at work at 6:05am and rushed myself and three others through the return process, never going outside to look at the cars. A week later I get a letter claiming “damage to the passenger rear wheel”. When I disputed it and asked for photos, I was sent a picture of a scrape 1 inch" long on the plastic hubcap! They even held up the Key next to the "damage" so there was no doubt the size. This was on a 2015 car with 37K miles. No matter what they reply with as an excuse, it's smells of scamming.

THIS IS STILL THE WORST RENT A CAR SERVICE AND I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO USE THE SERVICES! (THE ACTUAL COMPANY IS DIFFERENT THIS IS A PRIVATELY OWNED BUSINESS!)

I rented a car from Dollar at Lambert International Airport St Louis during Aug/Sept 2017. They sent me a claim for supposed damage to the car. Despite my repeated requests to provide proof of damage they failed to do so. They claim the damage was $75. They sent me an alleged damage repair for two different cars of $150 including the one I rented. There was no proof that they actually had the car repaired. They claimed I owed them $155 and I never fully understood why I owed over double the amount. I paid them $75 which is the amount on the repair invoice of one car. I still do not comprehend why they sent me a repair notice for two different cars totalling very close to the amount they were claiming from me. I only rented one car from them. Needless to say I will never rent from Dollar again.

This is the WORST company to rent a car from! They were nice when I picked up my rental car. The process of returning the car was when the real nightmare began, the staff was late unlocking the doors at 6 am and no one came out with me to do a walk through the lady told me that she didn't have time to do it but that it would be done when other staff arrived which wasn't apparently till later in the day. Than the shuttle man starts throwing my luggage into the bus before even asking me about touching my things. Than after a week or so I was charged over $100 dollars more than what was previously stated in my rental agreement.

I will never again rent from this car service again! They should not be able to be affiliated to the dollar rental company because I have several experiences with the company previously that were resolved! This company however is privately owned that might be the cause of such terrible rip offs!!

The company they sent after me to collect was very professional but did threaten to send me to a collections agency if I continued to dispute the claim. I felt stuck. I am not going to ruin my credit over a $75 scrape ($150 after "fees") that I still do not believe to be responsible for. I had my credit card company settle the dispute.

Very efficient. Shuttle Drivers were courteous as well as the staff. I did not have to wait in line even though it was during holidays. A nice, clean car - no smells (I am sensitive to smells). Overall a very good experience. One note of caution, be sure you fill the tank before returning. If they fill it, it costs $8. A gallon!

Than when I call to discuss the lady has an attitude and tells me they put gas in the car (which at the time of return I gave the receipts that I filled it up!) than she proceeded to tell me other charges where made but no explanation as to what. I asked for a copy emailed to me and she states she will have to find the records and email to me when she can! She also stated that they don't charge you unless something is wrong!

If this review keeps one future customer from renting from them, I'd say money well spent. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone will read these until its too late. Like me.

I called my bank and reported fraud on this complany instead of continuing to call this company for any explanation!

I Provided them, at the counter, with a declaration of my own rental car insurance only to have been billed later for over a hundred dollars in liability insurance provided by them. When I spoke with an agent, she informed me that I could not be refunded money because I signed a contract that stated I needed insurance. This I consider a dirty business tactic as I had already provided them with insurance proof, only to have a box (unferhandedly) checked by the employee after providing the proper paperwork.

It's funny how your response seems to be the same for everyone there is always an excuse! The order in which that morning transpired I remember quite accurately and if the events were as you think you stated I wouldn't have wrote the review!
