Car was good.

My bank Commerce, a regional bank local to Missouri issues ALL credit cards which read credit/debit. Thrifty will not honor. Thats fine if thats their business practice. The "customer service" rep was very rude and kept cutting me off whenever I spoke. The mgr Kristie (sp) spoke to me like I was "stupid". I informed her I held a doctorate and was very well versed in the English language. Will never use them again for car rental needs!

1. They show rates for some states and when you go to desk they will show other rates for other states.

3. The place was closed while returning the car and got me panicked, then I read a small board that they have key dropping facility at nearby parking lot which we can use with extra $8.

Came in to get a full size car to go to Chicago. I had to pay a deposit on the vehicle of $200 The vehicle was nasty rear bumper all scratched up, front passenger seat had a big hole in it. Passenger airbag had been previously deployed. There was ashes and cigarette packs in the car. Hotel room keys and other misc. trash. I told the guard about everything at gate as I was already running late because they wouldn't verify my insurance by calling the right number. So when I was headed back from Chicago the car started driving funny. It was all over the highway not steering correctly. Just confirming the vehicle had been in a accident. I had to have the car detailed to get ashes and trash removed from the vehicle so I wasn't charged for something I didn't do. And when I returned the vehicle they informed me that I was only getting $152.66 of my deposit back and I had to ask why they told me it was because I had to pay for a extra day because the car was a hour late. Excuse me though. Then when it was all said and done they only gave me $114 of my $200 deposit back and said they had to refuel the vehicle. I stopped and put gas back to full at Shell station right up the block from location and even showed them the receipt. I will try to include picture in post. It also took 5 days to get a little over half of my deposit back. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Definitely use Enterprise for your rental they are cheaper and have the up most customer service skills. They will even get you the vehicle you want or something better. I'm about to file a lawsuit against Thrifty Car Rentals not only for my deposit but car detailing, and almost causing me my life.

On arrival in st louis, my daughters and i stood at the curb waiting for the thrifty car rental shuttle for about 25 or 30 minutes. All the while, all the other rental companies had shuttles coming and going. Finally a lady who was driving shuttle for alamo invited me and my two young daughters to get out of the cold while we waited. She got on the radio and tried to find out what was the holdup to no avail. When i called the company the girl who answered said "I'll check" and hung up rudely. When the shuttle did arrive the driver said not one word, we drove to the rental car lot in silence. Upon arrival at the lot, the girl at the counter, there were two, did not acknowledge i was standing there for what seemed like a minute or so. I filled out my paperwork and was given keys and pointed to spot 37 to retrieve my rental. Meanwhile i have two bags, a three and four year old with me, and the two carseats that thrifty provided. As i went to try to wrangle all this about 25 yards away to the car, the other woman at the counter instructed one of the 3 car hops, who were lounging on the office furniture to go get the car when she saw my predicament. Now, there were three car hops, it was snowing hard and was probably 15 degrees. This establishment will get no further business from me ever.

Nice people but St. Louis was going through a deep freeze and car was covered with ice. Had to scrape myself. Windows frozen shut. Standing in the cold and dark, cleaning your own car is not what you want or expect from a rental place after a flight.

2 stars are for the car, for service just 1 star. Not recommended

2. Lady was rude at desk, she herself put a comment while giving us car that we will use 2 drivers without using adding up driver option.
